June’s career began in rep at Derby and Northampton, where she played a vast variety of parts over a number of years. She has also appeared in numerous television serials most notably Compact, Emergency Ward 10, The Doctors, Owen M.D and as Vera Harker in The Newcomers, for 4 years. Stage plays have since included The Glass Menagerie, The Man Who Came To Dinner, Moonique, What The Buttler Saw, Blithe Spirit, two seasons at Chichester Festival Theatre, where June played in Valmouth, by Sandy Willson, Goodbye Mr Chips, Cavell, and The Apple Cart - which later went to Brussels and Luxembourg. Waters Of The Moon at the Haymarket, with Ingrid Bergman followed this.
More recently June has appeared in Doctor Who and Angels and a serial for Capital Radio, as Madame Dubonnet in The Boyfriend at the Aalbeery and appeared in Review and Musical Hall and her one woman show.
June has been involved with The Barn Theatre in Molesey for more years than she cares to remember and is the Barn’s artistic director, she has run the box office for many years and directs the annual panto. She is also very proud to say that she has six wonderful great grandchildren to boot.
